Bethel Athletics Hall of Fame
Riggleman came to Bethel in 1995 and took over the men's baseball program as head coach. In five seasons as the skipper, Riggleman compiled a career record of 176-86 at Bethel which included two Crossroads League championships in 1997 and 1998 and a league tournament championship in 1998. He finished as runners-up in the league in 1996 and in the league tournament in 1995. Riggleman led the Pilots to three NCCAA national runner-up finishes.
Riggleman coached two NCCAA National Players of the Year, an NCCAA Unlimited Potential International Award winner, four NAIA All-Americans, 13 NCCAA All-Americans, 1 Crossroads League Player of the Year, 1 NAIA Region VIII Player of the Year, and a dozen Crossroads League All-Conference selections while guiding the Pilots. Five former Pilots reached the major league level under Riggleman.
In his career as a head coach, Riggleman won 1,004 games (19th coach in NAIA history to reach 1,000) and reached the NAIA World Series three times with stops at Dallas Baptist, Spring Arbor, Southern Illinois, Mt. Vernon Nazarene, and John Wesley. Riggleman is a two-time NAIA National Coach of the Year and has been inducted into the NCCAA, ABCA, NAIA, and Spring Arbor Athletic Halls of Fame.
