Bethel Athletics Hall of Fame
During his time at Bethel, Rafael was a four-time NAIA All-American, twice as a second-team member ('01, '02) and twice as receiving honorable mention honors ('00, '03). He was also a three-time NCCAA All-American ('00, '02, '03) and a member of the 2000 NCCAA All-Tournament Team as the tournament's offensive Most Valuable Player when he led the Pilots to their first NCCAA National Title.
At the conference level, he was named the MCC Men's Soccer Player of the Year twice ('00, '01) and was a member of the MCC All-Conference First Team for four consecutive years ('00, '01, '02, '03). During his four-year career, Rafael produced 79 career goals as well as 53 career assists, which is a Bethel men's soccer record.Â
The Pilots tallied four MCC Regular Season Championships and four MCC Tournament Championships along with one NCCAA National Title during his playing career.
