Coach Drew came to Bethel in 1976 and established the Pilots as one of the premier small-college basketball programs in the Mid-West. In 11 seasons he won 252 games against 110 losses.

• NCCAA National Runners-Up - '81
• Seven NCCAA District Championships
• Eight 20-win seasons
• Four 25-win seasons
• Coach Drew also served as athletic director and professor. 

After leaving Bethel, Drew became the head coach at Valparaiso University where he guided the Crusaders to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 1998.
