Bethel Athletics Hall of Fame
Burrington was a four-time national champion in the men's pole vault and a 13-time all-American. Just the second BU track and field athlete to accomplish the feat, Burrington earned the title of NAIA National Champion in 2008 during the indoor championship. Also at the NAIA level, Burrington was a six-time all-American which stood as the most NAIA All-American nods earned by a men's track and field athlete in Bethel history.
In addition to his four individual titles, Burrington was also a three-time national runner-up, and he also added seven all-American performances at the NCCAA level, bringing his all-American honors to 20 with his NAIA and NCCAA accomplishments combined.
At the conference level, Burrington picked up three titles in the pole vault and also helped the 4x100-meter rela
y team to a championship in 2005.
Currently, Burrington still holds both the indoor and outdoor pole vault records which are 16'8" and 16'9" respectively. When looking more closely at his body of work, Burrington, eight years removed from the program, still holds 12 of the top 15 marks in Bethel track and field history.
