Grubbs, standing at 5'2", started rewriting the Lady Pilot record books during her freshman campaign and wasn't done until the final horn of her senior season. Between 2003 and 2007, Grubbs became the first women's basketball player to tally 2,000 career points while also setting seven other school records, including career three-point field goals (370), three-point field goals in a season (103), career free-throw percentage (85.9), free-throw percentage in a season (91.8), and consecutive free throws in competition (54).

Beyond her awards that include being named a 2007 NAIA Honorable Mention All-American, 2007 NCCAA Second Team All-American, 2007 NAIA Champions of Character Award Winner, a two-time MCC Second Team All-Conference selection, and three-time NCCAA All-Region which are all given after each season, Grubbs also played big on the biggest stages for the Lady Pilots. After the Lady Pilots landed their fourth NCCAA national championship in 2006, Grubbs was named the NCCAA National Tournament Most Valuable Player. In her final postseason, Grubbs also was one of the best on the floor, pouring in 25.3 points per game at the 2007 NAIA National Tournament as the team made a three-game run to the Elite Eight, which garnered her First Team All-Tournament honors.

Overall, Grubbs graduated with two NCCAA championships along with a pair of trips to the NAIA national quarterfinals all while racking up eight program records. For her efforts in 2007, Coach Jody Martinez retired Grubbs' #10 jersey, marking the first Lady Pilot number to ever be hung in Championship Lobby of the Wiekamp Center.
