Nicole Matunas graduated in 1996 with a BA degree in Secondary English Education. Nicole received her Master's degree in Education at Lee University in 1999 with honors. Nicole was a four-year letter winner in softball and basketball.
Her softball accomplishments: 1st team NCCAA All-American in 1996 as a catcher, member of the 1995 NCCAA National Champions, 1st team on the NCCAA All-Tournament Team in 1995, 3-time Mid-Central Conference Team ('93, '95, '96), 3-time NCCAA All-Region Team ('93, '95, '96), 2-time NAIA All-District ('95, '96), and played professionally for Georgia Pride in 1997.
Upon graduation, "Nikki" broke some basketball records: career assists with 469 (2nd), games played with 126 (8th), and single season assists with 150 (4th).
