Bethel Athletics Hall of Fame
John Urbanski graduated in 1997 with a BA in Business Administration. He was a four-year letter winner in baseball. John was a three-time NCCAA All-American in 95,96 and 97. In 1995 John was a 1stteam NAIA All-American and was named NAIA National Pitcher of the Week once. He was a 2nd Team NAIA All-American in 1997. Also, in 1997 John was named Player of the Year in the NCCAA.
Additionally, he was named NAIA All-Great Lakes Region Player of the Year in 1995 and 1997. John was named to the All-Mid-Central Conference and All North Central Region 1st team3 times. In 1994 John was named to the NCCAA All-Tournament Team.
After graduation he played professionally in the Independent League for the Richmond Roosters. John left the Bethel Pilots 1st in career wins (37); 1stin Career Strikes out as a Pitcher (378); and 1st in Career Innings Pitched (358.2). All of his records still hold today.
