A four-year letter winner in men's golf, Tilbury was a three-time NCCAA All-American, in 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, and finished as the NCCAA national runner-up in 2006.
The two-time Crossroads League Golfer of the Year and Tournament Medalist in 2004 and 2006, Tilbury helped lead the Pilots to runner-up finishes in the Crossroads League in 2003-04 and 2004-05 before winning the championship in 2006-07. Tilbury was a First Team All-Crossroads League performer every year and earned an NAIA All-Region First Team accolade as a freshman in 2004.
Tilbury graduated with the career scoring record of 73.69 and a single season scoring record of 73.3. He was a 14-time tournament medalist and made 22 all-tournament teams in his career. Tilbury led the Pilots to their first tournament victory in 31 years in his first tournament as a freshman, shooting a 2-under 68, and to the first NAIA National Championships in program history in 2006 and 2007.
