ELKHART, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots competed in day three of the 2026 NAIA Swimming & Diving National Championships on Friday evening at Elkhart Health and Aquatics.
FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS
The Women's Swim and Dive Team holds a sixth place standing while the men hold 16th out of 34 programs.
In the 100 Fly,
Eliza Nuet showcased a standout performance, taking fifth (57.06s), while teammate Ellia Sherwood (7th) finished with a time of 57.17s.
Jaylyn Harrison also continued to collect All-American awards with a top three, personal best finish in the 200 Free (3rd, 1:51.17) before joining
Teagan Risher,
Eliza Nuet, and
Aixa Recchioni for an eighth place finish in the 400 Medley Relay (3:55.18).
Aixa Recchioni took sixth place in the 100 Back (57.11), edging out Lindsey Wilson's Natalia Gorska (7th, 57.15).
Representing the Men's Team in the dive category was
Owen Fleck, who added a 1M Dive score of 271.50 for a fourth place finish, ahead of Payton Whipple (248.35) and Jace Champlin (247.80) of Keiser University.
In the 400 IM Prelims,
Zach Anguish set a new school record of 4:12.56.
THURSDAY HIGHLIGHTS
On Thursday evening, Pilots
Ella Wardle,
Eliza Nuet,
Jaylyn Harrison, and
Aixa Recchioni took fifth in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:35.82.
Sophomore
Sarah Graves represented the Pilots from the dive well with a 197.40 score in the 3M Diving Finals.
Finally,
Jaylyn Harrison claimed the seventh place spot in the 50 Free.
The Bethel Pilots will next compete in the final day of the NAIA 2026 Swimming & Diving Championships tomorrow, March 7, at Elkhart Health & Aquatics.
