ELKHART, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots Women's Swim and Dive team swept the field in the Bethel Quad with wins over the University of Olivet 216-27, Alma 195-60, and Aquinas 168-123 at the Elkhart Aquatic Center on Saturday.
A slew of Pilots won their event with
Aixa Recchioni starting the list at the 100 back, 50 free, and 200 IM with NAIA qualifying times in all three events.
Makalynn VanEerden hit the NAIA qualifying time in her 100 breaststroke win and then hit the NAIA qualifying mark in the 200 breaststroke.
Teagan Risher won the 200 breaststroke with an NAIA cut and hit the NAIA cut in the 100 breaststroke.
Ella Sherwood won the 200 fly with an NAIA cut with another in the 100 fly.
Josefina Gonzalez won the 1650 freestyle with an NAIA qualifying mark and hit the mark in the 500 free.
Dominique van Vuure hit the NAIA cut in the 200, 100, and 500 freestyle events.
Lara Galy hit the NAIA 1650 free qualifying time and the 200 Medley Relay team of Recchioni, VanEerden, Sherwood, and
Jaylyn Harrison won the event.
The Pilots go to the Don Kimble Invite, hosted by NCAA DII Davenport University at the Kentwood Aquatic Center in Kentwood, Mich. Nov. 22-23, with the Prelims starting at 10 a.m. each day with the finals to follow at 6 p.m.
