HOBART, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots kept the pace for first place after the second day of the KCAC Championship with five champions crowned, two school records broken, and a KCAC record broken.
Eliza Nuet broke the school record in the 100-butterfly with a 57.22 and is a KCAC Champion as a freshman.
Jaylyn Harrison is the KCAC Champion in the 200-freestyle with a 1:54.22, and Teagan Risher also is the KCAC Champion in the 100-breaststroke with a 1:06.16.
The 200 Medley Relay team of Aixa Recchioni, Makalynn VanEerden, Eliza Nuet, and Jaylyn Harrison broke the KCAC and school record in their championship time of 1:45.49.
The 800 Freestyle Relay team of Aixa Recchioni, Dominique Van Vuure, Josefina Gonzalez, and Jaylyn Harrison won the event with a 7:46.59.
Maria Jose Suarez took runner-up in the 400 IM with a 4:39.69, and Elizabeth Williams finished fifth with a 4:51.08.
Van Vuure took third in the 200 freestyle with a 1:56.00 and placed fourth in the 100-breaststroke at 1:07.65.
Josefina Gonzalez finished the 200-freestyle .68 seconds behind Van Vuure for fourth place.
Makalynn VanEerden placed third behind Nuet and ahead of Van Vuure in the 100-breaststroke with a 1:06.82.
Aixa Recchioni rounded out day two with a fourth-place finish in the 100-backstroke with a 59.00.
Day three of the KCAC Championship begins at 10 a.m. in the Hobart Aquatics Center with the 200-backstroke.
