COLUMBIA, SC --- The Bethel Track and Field teams started the NCCAA Outdoor National Championship with the Women's Heptathlon which sophomore Kara Kitson represented the Pilots.
Kitson started the day with a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter Hurdles with a time of 17.56 for the first event of the meet.
The next event was the High Jump, where Kitson finished with a 1.37-meter jump that placed her fourth in the event.
After a break for the Men's 100-meter dash, Kitson placed eighth in the Shot Put, where she threw a 6.56-meter mark.
Kitson ended day one with the 200-meter dash and finished fifth with a time of 28.62 and will continue the Heptathlon with the Long Jump and Javelin is scheduled for Thursday, May 11, at 9:15 a.m. and 10:20 a.m., respectively.
THE MEET CONTINUES
Day two of the NCCAA Outdoor National Championship continues Thursday, May 11, at 9 a.m. with Men 110-meter Hurdles and the Women's Heptathlon Long Jump at 9:15 a.m. Field events start at 1:30 p.m., and the Running events will begin at 5:15 p.m. Fans can watch on the NCCAA Network, which is offered as pay-per-view, or follow along with Live Results.
