MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---Bethel University is pleased to announce the hiring of Head Coach Cameron Screeton to lead the Bethel Baseball Program.
"I am thrilled to welcome Coach Screeton to the Bethel family," said Jason Lewkowicz, Director of Athletics. "Throughout the hiring process, he stood out as a tremendous leader and coach who understood our mission to be Christ-centered, culturally driven, and competitively excellent. Coach Screeton's commitment to faith-filled coaching, his track record as a proven recruiter and developer of talent, and background in the Crossroads League will set him up to make an immediate impact on our baseball program."

No stranger to the Crossroads League, Screeton graduated from Indiana Wesleyan with a degree in Sports Management following his career as an infielder (2012-2015) before joining the Grace College staff as an assistant coach in 2015. Screeton then led the program for two seasons as the Interim Head Coach in 2017 and Head Coach in 2018. During his time with Taylor University (2023-2024), Screeton's work helped the Trojans to an NAIA First Round Appearance and 42-16 record.
Screeton's work as an Assistant Coach with MidAmerica Nazarene University (2019-2022) led the Pioneers to a 39-18 record, including a trip to the 2022 Avista NAIA World Series.
"I am humbled and excited to accept the position of Head Baseball Coach at Bethel University. I want to thank President Dr. Dee McDonald, Vice President Dr. Shawn Holtgren and Director of Athletics Jason Lewkowicz for trusting in me and giving me the opportunity to lead the baseball team with such a strong history and tradition of excellence," Screeton shared.
He continued, "Being part of an institution where faith is at the forefront and the opportunity to develop student athletes in all areas of life is truly special to me. I look forward to getting to work with the guys this fall."
