ALLENDALE, Mich. ---The Bethel Men's Track & Field Team competed on Friday at the GVSU Bill Clinger Classic, in the Kelly Family Sports Center.
In the 200m,
Lamarr Williams finished runner up in a field of over 100 athletes, recording a season best of 21.64s. Williams now holds the 21st fastest time in the NAIA for the event.
Together,
Lamarr Williams,
Noah Jarvis,
Joshua Harmon, and
Lucas Linder placed sixth in the Men's 4x400m Relay for a Top 40 NAIA Time. The group earned the No. 37 fastest time in the NAIA, while placing above rival Grace College (seventh place).
Noah Jarvis and
Lucas Linder each reached new milestones in the 400m, with Jarvis recording a new PR of 51.42s (23rd), and Linder showcasing a season best of 51.62s (26th).
Aaron Douglass added to the record-breaking frenzy with a PR in the 3000m (8:56.75), making the NAIA 's Top 100 times for the event (96th).
In the field category,
Joey Rutten posted an impressive 16th place finish in the pole vault (4.37m) in a field of 29 athletes who scored.
Jack Jewett in the high jump (12th, 1.82m) and
Joshua Handschu with his top ten finish in the weight throw (8th, 14.59m) also showcased great performances.
The Bethel Pilots will next compete at the Olivet Nazarene University Invitational on Friday, January 30. The event will commence at 3 PM CST and 4 PM EST.
