MISHAWAKA, Ind.---Senior Pin Hitter
Ainsley Tacke was named the National Christian College Athletic Association's Offensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performances last week.
Tacke totaled 74 kills, 45 digs, and 12 blocks throughout the five Bethel matchups.
Most notably, Tacke recorded 25 kills against No. 15 Aquinas College, whom the Pilots beat in the fifth set 20-18.
Head Coach Erica Dregits shared, "This is a well deserved award for Ainsley, She shows up to practice to work hard, competes with determination, and with the mindset to help her team succeed."
Ainsley Tacke wrote, "I was very shocked to see that I got this award. I wouldn't have been able to be recognized if it wasn't for my team. They push me each day and help me grow not only as a volleyball player, but as a person as well! Coach Dregits also plays a huge part in me getting this award! She keeps me in a positive state of mind and helps me when I get down!"
The Bethel Pilots will face their first conference opponent, Mount Vernon Nazarene, tonight at 6:00 PM in Ariel Arena.
