ELKHART, Ind. The Bethel Pilots (9-0) defeated the Aquinas College Saints (155-88), the Alma College Scots (183-49), and the University of Olivet Comets (193-24) on Saturday afternoon at Elkhart Health and Aquatics.
Bethel now holds a nine-meet winning streak while ranking sixth in the NAIA for SCY Dual Standings (544.35).
Head Coach
Chadd Maurer shared, "Out of a 54 total events swam this afternoon a total of 80% of the swims were either season best times, or personal best times. Divers
Sarah Graves and
Violet Shively also posted season best scores respectively in their 1m and 3m boards."
Freshman
Ella Wardle set a new team record for the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.89. Wardle also took fourth in the 100 Fly with a time of 59.77, continuing her outstanding breakout season.
Jaylyn Harrison won both the 500 Free (5:12.73) and the 50 Free (24.31).
Aixa Recchioni won both the 200 Free (1:56.04) and the 100 Fly (57.21). In the 100 back, Recchioni posted a relay split of 56.76.
Junior Lizzie Williams took first in the 1650 Free with a time of 18:13.21, and finished Runner-Up in the 500 Free (5:21.44).
Maurer continued, "Incredible performances from all Pilots across the board. Concluding week nine of training, we are starting to swim really fast just before our mid-season championship coming up. Truly an exciting time to be a Pilot."
The excitement of Saturday's meet builds off the Pilots' previous win over Lindsey Wilson College on Saturday, Oct. 25. Lindsey Wilson took third place in the 2025 NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championship.
Bethel will next compete against NCAA Division II Malone University from Nov. 20 through Nov. 22 at the CT Branin Natatorium at 10 AM.
