SOUTH BEND, Ind. ---The Bethel University Men's Golf Team had another solid performance this week as they hosted the 21st annual Battle at Blackthorn, taking second place in the seven team field.
Earl Williams continued his successful fall season, shooting 70-67 to take second place overall.
Freshman
Amaury Wouters claimed fifth place, and a spot on the All-Tournament team with 72-72.
Bethel's team scores of 299-296 were 19 behind the winner, Taylor University.
Earl Williams shared, "I played two solid rounds of golf. Sometimes you just run into someone that catches fire and shoots lights out. Overall, I feel like my game is trending in the right direction."

John Fischer shared, "Earl finished seven under par and Amaury finished even par for the 36 hole tournament."
The Pilots will next compete on October 6th and 7th, when they will host the Fall Classic at Harbor Shores.
