VALPARAISO, Ind.---The Bethel Esports Team competed against NCAA Division One Valparaiso University on Saturday in two GLEC matchups.
Bethel claimed a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate win of 2-0, and fell 2-0 in Valorant.
Head Coach Jacob Rendall wrote, "We always enjoy being able to play some matches in person, so first want to thank Valpo for welcoming us and allowing this to happen. Our team played great today, really good to see. Everyone contributed towards the team win, but (I) want to highlight Blake (Wehlage) who was able to win the first game by taking all 12 stocks!"
Regarding the Valorant loss, Rendall shared, "...We still need to improve some of our execution. Overall, I liked what we were able to do, but now it is back to working and improving ourselves for the next game."
Earlier last week within the Pilots' main conference, the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC), Bethel posted a 3-0 win against Defiance College in Rocket League.
