ALLENDALE, Mich. --- The Bethel Pilots Women's Track and Field team ended the GVSU Bill Clinger Classic with 19 NCCAA Qualifying Standards, with four Pilots qualifying in multiple events on Friday in the Kelly Family Sports Center.
Nicanta Smith took 16th place in the 60-meter race with a time of 8.10, and Sydney Rogers took 19th place with an 8.13, both qualifying for the NCCAA National Championship.
Brianna Hooton took 17th in the 200-meter with a 26.42, with Smith in 21st with a 26.63,
Gabrielle Zeilenga in 23rd at 27.09, and Sydney Rogers taking 24th with a 27.24, all hitting the NCCAA Standard.
In the 400-meter, Hooton took 14th with a 59.59, andÂ
Vladlena Klymova took 22nd, finishing with a 1:01.54 to make the NCCAA cut.
Hannah Frump took 10th with a 2:23.56 in the 800-meter, representing the mid-distance runners.
Klymova and
Alyssa Sloop qualified in the 60-hurdles with a 12th-place 9.67 and an 18th-place 10.17, respectively.
Ariel Manns placed 12th in the High Jump with a 1.48-meter jump, and
Maiah Bargesser placed 15th with a 1.48-meter jump to hit the NCCAA Standard.
The High Pit of the Pole Vault saw Zeilenga place 5th with a 3.52-meter mark,
Sophia Sumer in 7th with a 3.52, and
Grace Conway in 11th with a 3.37, all NCCAA Standards. To round out the jumpers, Zeilenga also placed 5th in the high jump with a 5.50-meter mark.
For the throwers,
Alecia Parker took 4th with a 13.12-meter mark in the Shot Put Invite, and
Sydney Rice placed third in the Shot Put at 11.87 meters in the prelims, then finished 14th in the final with an 11.42.
The Pilots move on to the NCCAA National Championship, hosted by Cedarville University, from Friday, Feb. 7Â to Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Doden Field House.
