Mishawaka, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots Men's Volleyball team (3-9, 2-8) fell to the NAIA #15 ranked Indiana Tech Warriors (9-6, 8-1) in WHAC play 3-0.
The Pilots started the match with a 4-2 lead with kills from sophomore Erik Malek and freshman Tuna Konukcu, but freshman Arthur Barreto served the first ace of the night to give the Pilots an early run.
The rest of the first set was a neck-and-neck battle, with freshman Marcos Henrike giving the Pilots their seventh lead at 21-20; Indiana Tech rode a 4-0 run to win the first set 25-22.
The Warriors shot out of the gate to a 7-3 lead on a pair of Pilot attack errors in set two and back-to-back kills by the Warrior's Mason Milan.
Indiana Tech kept control of the second set as Daynte Stewart had back-to-back kills to grow their lead 15-9 and ultimately won 25-16.
Stewart started set three with a kill and two consecutive aces, along with a Pilot attack error to give Indiana Tech a 4-0 opening run.
In the home stretch of the set, Indiana Tech went on an 8-0 run to win the third set and the match 25-12.

Bethel continues their WHAC campaign on a two-match road trip, starting with Trinity Christian (Ill.) on Feb. 28 at 8 p.m. in the DeVos Gymnasium in Palos Heights, Ill., then take on NCAA Division III opponent Trine University (Ind.) on Mar. 1 at 7 p.m. at Hershey Hall in Angola, Ind.
