Additionally, he recorded 34 digs, 34 block assists, and two solo blocks. Malek was recognized for his academic work, as he was named to the WHAC 2023-24 Men's Volleyball All-Academic Team.

2022-23 (Sophomore at Bethel University) Highlights: Appeared in 24 out of a possible 24 games. Malek etched his name in the record books for multiple categories in his first year as a Pilot. He is ranked fourth in the program for total blocks (51), blocks per set (0.56), and total service aces (16). Additionally, he ranks second in the program for total assists (444) and assists per set (4.88). Malek is tied for second place in total solo blocks (8) and tied for first in number of sets played (91). He also ranks third in the program for total block assists (43). To add to his portfolio, Malek also ranks third for number of aces in a single game (4), and first in total assists in a game (62). For single game records, Malek ranks first for total assists (62) and third for total service aces (4). 

2021-22 (Freshman at Campbellsville University) Highlights: Appeared in 21 out of a possible 31 matches. Malek totaled 38 assists, 11 aces, 10 digs, five block assists, and four kills.
