MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Bethel men's soccer rallied from an early deficit to draw 1-1 with Governors State on Saturday at Morey Field, with the Pilots out-shooting the Jaguars 21-3 for the match but unable to find a second goal.

MATCH RECAP
FIRST HALF
- Governors State struck just 46 seconds into the match on an unassisted goal from Lexani Gaines to take an early 1-0 lead.
- Bethel answered with pressure of its own, testing Governors State keeper Brainy Perez and the Jaguars' defense through Diego Cadabon, Diego Arrieta and Ivan Rodriguez before Noe Ferreira picked up a caution in the 25th minute.
- Matheus Gabriel leveled the match in the 34th minute, finishing off a Ryan Betim assist to make it 1-1, a score that held through the break.
SECOND HALF
- Bethel controlled the run of play after halftime, out-shooting Governors State 13-2 in the period behind Miguel Gallegos, Felipe Van Dijk and Roberto Pineda.
- Governors State was reduced to 10 men in the 70th minute when Dimitri Kouemo was sent off with a red card.
- Despite the extra-man advantage and a string of late chances, Brandon Gonzalez Ayala and the Jaguars defense held on, and the match finished 1-1.
