DUBLIN, Ireland ---Bethel Bowling Assistant Coach,
Nicholas Adams won the 2026 Dublin, Ireland 10-Pin Singles Championship on Sunday while competing alongside Pilot Coaches
Chris Adams (Head Coach) and Cindy Adams (Assistant Coach).
Nicholas Adams reflected on the accomplishment, sharing, "Winning in the states is always special but being able to use my talents overseas and still succeed…it's truly an amazing feeling."
In conjunction with another group from Kansas coached by Brian Horn, Bethel's coaches represented the USA in the Dublin Singles tournament on Saturday and Sunday. The USA contingent bowled the first qualifying block on Saturday with the Irish bowlers bowling the second qualifying block on Saturday.
Representing America alongside Bethel's coaching staff were the following bowlers: Giana Garcia, Austin Higginbotham, Micah Jenkins, Emma Wederski, Leah Doherty, Ellise Gramlich, Sophia Maggard, Colton Marks, Mason Meyer, Andrew Lindsey, Catherine Reuter, Elizabeth Richards, Timmie Ho, Amiya Laskey, Brooklyn Peck, Micah Carter, Stephanie Rossi, Brian Ziegert, Jennifer Ferguson, Donald Ferguson, Helen Tomczuk, Steven Rogers, and Donna Dennie.
A majority of these bowlers were all re-entered into Sunday's third qualifying block, with new Irish entries and reentries in the fourth block for the second round.
After all 120 bowlers finished qualifying, it would only be the top four bowlers in each of the two divisions who would advance. Nicholas led the field in the third qualifying round, taking second overall with an average of 213.4 to advance.
The top four then faced off, and Adams bowled a final score of 194 to survive. In the top-three matchup, Nicholas bowled a 206 score to advance to the Championship match, where he posted a 237 score to win the title.
Head Coach Christopher Adams shared, "As a Coach, watching what Nicholas did technically on Sunday was extraordinary. As a parent, (I have) nothing but pride in how he handled the pressure, stayed calm, and played his game."
