Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---The Bethel Pilots (5-8, 3-7) defeated the Madonna University Crusaders (5-10, 3-6) 13-10 on Morey Field on Tuesday evening to claim the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Quarterfinal.
Megan Williams first found the net for the Pilots within the first minute of the faceoff, assisted by Pj Pearson (1-0). Williams was a key scorer for the Pilots with three goals, alongside
Mackenzie Holland who also recorded three.
Kelsee Smit furthered the Pilots' lead to eight with an unassisted goal (man up) in the second to make it a 9-1 contest.
Following halftime, the Crusaders answered with seven additional goals to challenge the Bethel defense, but
Maddie Reel's six total saves combined with an aggressive Pilot offense secured the game for Bethel.

Jeremy Brown shared, "I'm really proud of how our team competed today. Playoff games are never easy, and our girls showed toughness and composure when it mattered most." He continued, "What stood out to me most was our team's heart. We stayed connected, trusted each other, and found ways to make big plays in big moments."
The Bethel Pilots will now advance to the WHAC Semifinal against the Marian University Knights (11-3, 9-1) on Thursday April 30 at Ascension St. Vincent Field at 6 PM.
