ELKHART, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots competed in day one of the 2026 NAIA Swimming & Diving National Championships on Wednesday afternoon at Elkhart Health and Aquatics.
Owen Fleck recorded the highest podium finish of the day, placing third in the Men's 3M Dive with a score of 283.65.
On the Women's side,
Jaylyn Harrison and
Aixa Recchioni received All-American recognition in both the 200 Medley and 800 Free Relays.
Pilots
Jaylyn Harrison,
Aixa Recchioni, Makalynn VanErden, and
Eliza Nuet set a new Bethel University record in the 200 Medley Relay (1:45.17), taking fifth.
In the 800 Free Relay,
Elizabeth Williams,
Ella Wardle,
Jaylyn Harrison, and
Aixa Recchioni placed seventh with a time of 7:44.42.
The Men's Swim and Dive Team finished in 14th place while the Women's Team claimed sixth place to conclude day one.
The Bethel Pilots will next compete in day two of the NAIA 2026 Swimming & Diving Championships tomorrow, March 5, at Elkhart Health & Aquatics.
