MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---On Thursday, Redshirt Sophomore
Austin Cripe was named an NCCAA All-American following the Pilots' recent top-five finish in the NCCAA D1 Men's Basketball National Tournament.
In the Pilots' NAIA First and Second Round matchups, Cripe showcased 12 points against Life University and led the team with 29 points against Georgetown College.
Within the competitive Crossroads League, Cripe finished the season second on the individual leaderboard for overall 3 PT percentage (45.7) and second for overall steals (50).
Cripe reflected on the accomplishment, sharing, "I'm very grateful for the honor of being named an NCCAA All-American. I'd like to thank the coaching staff and all of my teammates for making this a reality. Without them it wouldn't be possible."
At the NCCAA Tournament, Cripe was a crucial asset in both of Bethel's wins, serving as the leading scorer in the Clinton College matchup with 22 points, and picking up six defensive rebounds in the intense battle with Ohio Christian University.
