MARION, Ind. — The Bethel Men's Bowling team competed at Crest Lanes on Friday in the first Crossroads League Tournament, hosted by the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats. With eight varsity teams, and ten junior varsity teams, the Pilots placed 8th in the varsity field.
Bethel was led by Freshman
Isaac Lleras (19th, 186 Average) who posted his third Top-20 Finish of the season.
Steven Jones was the second highest scoring Pilot, with a164.7 Average.
Head Coach
Chris Adams shared, "The way the pattern changed all day was touchy and tricky. Overall, the pattern played to low scores, being speed and rev-rate sensitive. The guys struggled with that today. They are young and improving mentally."
On Saturday, Dec.6 the Pilots hosted Crossroads League Tournament Two at EZ Bowl, located in Bluffton, Ind. Bethel placed sixth out of the eight teams in the varsity field.
Zach Morrison recorded a Top-20 finish (16th, 204 Average) and
Isaac Jenkins bounced back after game 1 to finish 22nd (195.3 Average).
Head Coach
Chris Adams shared, "This young team is learning how the little mistakes add up through the long day. It has been a tough eight tournaments in the first semester. The holiday break will be good for them with five tournaments in three weeks when they get back."
The Pilots will next compete on Thursday, Jan. 22 at Ohio Bowling Conference Three in Columbus, Ohio.
