SOUTH BEND, Ind. ---The Bethel Men's Track and Field Team opened up their 2025-26 Season at the Loftus Sports Center on the campus of the University of Notre Dame on Friday.
Lamarr Williams placed fourth out of 43 runners in the 200m, showcasing a time of 21.90, narrowly missing the NAIA "B" Standard (21.62 s).
Williams also found success in the top ten percent of competition in the 60m dash (5th of 55, 6.87s), narrowly beating out Marian's Ricardo Mateo (6th, 6.89).
Jace Woods (7th, 6.90s),
Joshua Harmon (8th, 6.93s), and
Mark Brissau (10th, 6.96s) all saw top ten finishes in the 60m, with Harmon and Brissau posting personal bests.
Austin Mason (14th) and Christopher Korthius (13th) each saw personal bests in the 600m Hurdles and Long Jump events respectively.
Joey Rutten placed fifth in the Pole Vault event (4.35m), defeating NCAA Division One opponents from Marquette, Valpo, and Purdue Fort Wayne who did not clear the height.
In the final event of the evening,
Jace Woods,
Lamarr Williams,
Noah Jarvis, and
Lucas Linder posted a 3:26.20 in the 4x400m Relay, finishing ninth of 18 teams.
Assistant Coach Andre Moodie shared, "It was a great first meet...NAIA national qualifiers and several NCCAA qualifiers, as a coaching staff we are very proud of the efforts today."
