Box Score SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Bethel Pilots (7–4, 1–3) fell 76–62 to the Indiana University South Bend Titans (7-4, 3-2) on Wednesday night at the Student Activities Center.
Bethel was paced offensively by
Justyce Williams, who led the Pilots with 13 points.
Olivia Nickerson and
Isabel Scales each finished with 12 points, with Scales shooting efficiently from the field (71%) and contributing across multiple areas.
Mariah Claywell anchored the effort on the glass, pulling down a team-high 10 rebounds while dishing out four assists.
The game opened tightly contested, with IUSB holding a narrow 20–15 edge after the first quarter. The Titans created separation in the second, extending their lead to 34–25 at the half.
Bethel responded with improved offensive rhythm in the third quarter, scoring 19 points, but IUSB maintained control and entered the final frame ahead 57–44.
The Pilots continued to compete in the fourth quarter, getting contributions from the bench (six points), but were unable to overcome the deficit as Indiana University South Bend closed out the game at the free-throw line to secure the 76–62 result.
Bethel will look to bounce back on Mon, Dec. 15, as they face the Webber International University Warriors (4-4, 1-1) in Ave Maria's Tom Golisano Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 2 PM.
