COLUMBUS, Ohio --- The Bethel Men's Bowling Team competed in the Ohio Bowling Conference II event on Saturday at Columbus Bowling Palace, amidst 56 lanes of competition.
In the 20-team field, the Pilots finished 17th overall following three traditional team games and 12 Baker games (three blocks of four).
The Pilots posted a total team score of 4809, above Tiffin University (4707), Wittenberg University (4635), and Kentucky Christian (3559).
Bethel was paced by Zach Morrison in 49th place, followed by
Isaac Lleras (63rd),
Steven Jones (70th) and
Ryan Riddle (71st). The highlight of the day came in the second team game when
Isaac Jenkins came in cold and fired a 267 to spark the lineup.
Head Coach Christopher Adams shared,"The guys dug themselves in a big hole game one and battled hard all day to get out of it...In team game two they bowled a 976 and the first Baker block had 795 and (we still lost) ground to the leaders. I like the way that they shrugged off game one and went to work."
