BENTON HARBOR, Mich. --- Despite coming off of a record-breaking performance the week before, the Bethel University Women's Golf Team hit a road block at Harbor Shores Monday and Tuesday. The Pilots lost a key player due to injury and posted a third place finish in the Fall Classic.
Izzy Aigner highlighted the Bethel lineup, finishing in fourth place overall and earning a spot on the All-Tournament team.
Head Coach
Christopher Hess shared, "This was a very frustrating tournament for us. We really wanted to build on some of our momentum as we prepare for the national championship, but losing a player puts an awful lot of pressure on the other four...we just didn't really respond at all. Now we've got about a week and a half to get our mojo back, so we'll get after it and be ready to compete."
The Pilots will head to Palm Coast, Fla. on Oct. 20-22, where they'll be seeking their fourth national championship in the past five years at the NCCAA National Chmapionships.
