ELKHART, Ind.--The Bethel Pilots Men's Swim and Dive team (3-8) lost 132-95 to NCAA Division I Opponent Valparaiso University (3-7). The meet took place on Friday at Elkhart Health and Aquatics.
The Pilots won four out of the ten events that they competed in.
Vincenzo Di Palo won two events for the Pilots: the 200 Yard Freestyle and the 200 Yard Breaststroke, finishing 1:48.05 and 2:13.42, respectively.
Zach Anguish also placed first in two events: the 1000 Yard Freestyle (finishing with a time of 10:04.03) and the 500 Yard Freestyle (finishing with a time of 4:51.51). For his second event, Anguish hit the NAIA cut time of 4:52.19.
The Pilots will compete next for the KCAC championship title from Thursday, Feb. 13, to Saturday, Feb. 15. The prelims will begin at 10:00 a.m., with finals kicking off at 6:00 p.m. The competition will take place at the Hobart Aquatic Center in Hobart, Ind.
