MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Amidst training for, and hosting, the 2025 NAIA National Swimming & Diving Championship, the Bethel Pilots excelled in the classroom during the 2025 Spring Semester. Both the Men's and Women's Swim & Dive Teams were recognized by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) alongside 431 other academic institutions for their GPA.
To qualify as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, the program must post a minimum 3.0 GPA in the spring semester.
The Women's Team concluded the semester with a fifth place finish at nationals, and a 3.57 GPA. Within the team, 11 Pilots secured first or second team recognition for their individual grade point average.
The CSCAA stated, "To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship, or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet."

In addition to succeeding academically, Fleck and Di Palo also achieved NAIA All-American honors, while Williams was named to the All-KCAC Second Team.
Deb Thompson shared, "I'm so proud of our student athletes who work hard not only in the pool, but also in the classroom."
