MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Bethel Pilots Men's Tennis team (4-3, 3-3) secured a solid 5-2 victory against the Spring Arbor Cougars (2-4, 1-4) in a home match at Ward Baker Park on Saturday.
In doubles play, the Pilots dominated all three matches:
- #1 Doubles: Coll Ballester and Bernat Bonsergent defeated Jaume Riera Galindo and Daniel Rodriguez Fortes 6-2.
- #2 Doubles: Santiago Flores and Nicolo Marchetti overcame Sebastian Smith and Aziz Madatov 6-2.
- #3 Doubles: Paulo Reis and Garrison Miller edged out Caleb Kaytar and Samuel Lyon 7-5.
The singles matches featured strong performances from the Pilots:
- #1 Singles: Victor Bonsergent overpowered Sebastian Smith 6-1, 6-2.
- #2 Singles: Daniel Jancic retired due to injury, giving Aziz Madatov a 2-4 (ret.) win.
- #3 Singles: Santiago Flores fell to Jaume Riera Galindo 5-7, 3-6.
- #4 Singles: Nicolo Marchetti battled to a 6-4, 0-6, 7-5 victory over Daniel Rodriguez Fortes.
- #5 Singles: Paulo Reis defeated Caleb Kaytar 6-3, 6-2.
- #6 Singles: Sergio Orradre Escudero secured a 6-1, 6-3 win against Fernan Espinosa Cordova.
