STURGIS, Mich. --- The Bethel Pilots (2-3, 1-3) faced off with the NCAA DIII Trine Thunder (3-2,0-0) in a neutral site match-up where the Pilots left with a 7-0 sweep on Tuesday.
Two and Three doubles secured the doubles point with
Nicolo Marchetti and
Santiago Flores in two doubles defeating Drew Hackney and Emmett Wirth 6-0 and
Garrison Miller and
Paulo Reis won three doubles 6-3 over Jen Nicholas and Caleb Morris.
Victor Bonsergent won the one singles point 6-4, 6-2 over Sammy Yin,
Santiago Flores won in two games 6-1, 7-5 against Andrew Spirrison in three singles,
Nicolo Marchetti won 6-0, 6-4 against Elijah Schilthuis in four singles, five singles went to
Paulo Reis 6-2, 6-2 over Caleb Morris and six singles was won by Coll Ballester 6-1, 7-5 over Jen Nicholas.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Pilots return to Crossroads League play Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. against the University of Saint Francis Cougars in Fort Wayne, Ind. at 1 p.m. The Cougars are 0-5 and 0-4 in conference play with their last match was a 6-1 loss to the Goshen Maple Leafs in Fort Wayne.
