MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots (8-28, 4-20) fell to University of Saint Francis (17-18, 10-12) 5-3 in game one and 9-7 in games two.
GAME 1
Bethel's first run came in the 4th with a Kate Cooper double that brought in Meghan Younger.
Emily Kidwell reached on an error that helped Cooper find her way home to make it a 3-2 Cougar lead.
Saint Francis found two more runs, but Maggie Robbins homered in the 7th to bring the score to a 5-3 final in game one.
Ryann Norris pitched seven innings with nine hits, three walks, and five strikeouts on 130 pitches.
GAME 2
Bethel opened the scoring in game one with a Hannah Goldsborough single to bring home Morgan Bluebaum.
The fourth was a big inning for the Pilots as Alyssa Forys singled to score Desiree Boone in. Goldsborough singled to bring in Forys and right after, Bluebaum scored on a wild pitch.
The Pilots were up 7-5 in the 7th when USF hit a grand slam to go up 9-7 and win game two.
Harmony Looney pitched six innings with ten hits, seven walks, and five strikeouts on 128 pitches.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Pilots will be at home on April 13th as they take on Grace College at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Senior Day will happen after game two.
