MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots (8-32, 4-22) battled Grace College on Senior Day (12-20, 8-16) but fell in both Crossroads League games.
GAME 1
The Pilots opened the scoring with a Harmony Looney RBI single to bring in Kate Cooper.
In the third, Meghan Younger had a single RBI to left field, scoring Maggie Robbins to tie the game 2-2.
Down by five, Alyssa Forys reached first on an error, and two runs scored to bring the game to 7-4, but the Lancers closed out the innings, resulting in a Grace win.
Harmony Looney pitched seven innings with nine hits, one strikeout, and six walks on 103 pitches.
GAME 2
Alyssa Forys had a single RBI in the third to bring in Kidwell to tie the game at 1-1.
Maggie Robbins had a double, 2 RBI which brought in Floys and Looney to go up 3-1.
Grace found their rhythm as they put up two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Madison Shaw tripled late in the game and brought home Younger to make it 6-4 Lancers, but no runs were scored in the seventh, resulting in another Grace victory.
Ryann Norris pitched seven innings with ten hits and one walk on 87 pitches.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Pilots will be at home on April 16th as they take on Marian University at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
