MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots (5-0) defeated Roosevelt University (2-5) and Judson University (5-5) 3-1 in games two and three of the Adidas Game-One Pilot Invitational Saturday in Gates.
?GAME ONE
The Pilots continued their dominance in their home invitational as they beat Roosevelt University 3-1.
Bethel won the first set 25-23 and the third and fourth sets, each 27-25.
Each set was tight and decided by only a few points as Roosevelt put up an excellent fight.
Sebastian Rodriguez led the team in digs with 12, while Andre Parra led in kills with 16.
GAME TWO
It was another tough matchup as Judson put up a good battle against the Pilots.
Bethel won the second, third, and fourth sets. The Pilots lost the first set 25-23 to Judson.
Author Barreto and Parra each had 12 kills in game two, while Ege Gul recorded 27 assists.
Bethel led constantly in the matches they won as they could capitalize and maintain the leads they earned.
NEXT TIME OUT
Bethel will travel to Glen Ellyn, Ill., on Feb. 13 to take on College of DuPage. The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
