GEORGETOWN, Ky. --- The NAIA first-ranked Bethel Pilots (6-2-1) avenged their two-game losing streak with a high-scoring 7-1 victory over the Georgetown College Tigers (4-3-0) on Monday.

The Pilots struck first in the sixth minute by junior Chicago State transfer Sami Charaf Amal, who scored on a third-chance strike off a save to score the game's first goal.

Sodai Koketsu sent the Pilots into halftime with a 2-0 lead with his second goal of the season, and minutes into the second half, freshman Isaac Hernandez sent his first collegiate goal and grew the lead to 3-0.

Georgetown found an answer in the 60th minute off an assist by Pedro Canal, but the sophomore midfielder, Andres Gonzalez Maza, answered right back with his second goal of the 2023 campaign.

Julian Vargas Talamantes had a monster night with two goals and an assist in eight minutes, putting his goal tally at four and three assists on the season.
