WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. --- The top-ranked Bethel Pilots Men's Soccer team (5-2-1) fell in their first match of the Kentucky trip to the University of the Cumberlands Patriots (3-1-2) on Saturday by a score of 2-1.
The Pilots led in the first half with a goal from junior Sodai Koketsu in the 34th minute for his first goal as a Pilot off Tim Noeding's fifth assist of the season.
Despite the Pilot lead in the first half, the Patriots scored in the 59th minute and the 62nd minute by Mario Fernandes Garcia to secure the victory.
Bethel has lost its third time to the University of the Cumberlands since their first meeting in 2010 and has an overall record of 1-3 in the series.
