MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots Women's Volleyball team (9-0) started the Liz Hossler Labor Day Classic with a bang after defeating cross-town the IU-South Bend Titans (1-5) by a score of 3-1.
Maddy Payne and Isabelle Greene swung a season-high 15 kills, with freshman Taylor Delp setting a career-high 12 kills.
The Pilots served 11 aces for the first time this season and never saw a close number in the 2022 season.
The first set was all Pilots with a dominant score of 25-8, which is the most significant margin of victory in a set this season as the Pilots continue a historic start of the season.

- Payne also set a season high in total blocks with eight but was one shy of her career-high of 9 total blocks against St. Francis (Ind.) on Oct. 16, 2021.
- Haley Biedenbach set a career-high of 55 assists.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Pilots continue the Liz Hossler Labor Day Classic on Sept. 2, starting at 11 a.m. in the Gates Gymnasium. The Pilots take on the University of Michigan-Dearborn and end the day with Cumberland University (Tenn.) at 1 p.m.
