Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots (2-0) continued to be dominant vs. Holy Cross (1-1) on a sweltering and humid Wednesday night on Morey field as they won 4-1 in front of a packed house.
The first 20 minutes were neutral as each team had their respective attacks, but Bethel broke the ice in the 24th minute as Onalee Gustafson scored the Pilots' first goal with Autumn Beaudoin's assist.
In the 34th minute, Leena Thomas broke Holy Cross's back line and put it in the back of the net, which put the Pilots up 2-0.
Soon after, Autumn Beaudoin gained possession of the ball on top of the box and shot a perfect ball that went in off the left post just past the goalie's reach to increase the Pilots' lead to 3-0.
Holy Cross refused to back as they kept the pressure up and responded with their own goal in the 62nd minute of regulation by Olivia Shaw.
To close the night, Giulia Franco found Chloe Crompton on the top of the box. She struck the ball perfectly, and it flew in the top corner to give Bethel a 4-1 win.
