Box Score Mishawaka, Ind. --- The Bethel University Men's Volleyball Team (7-12, 3-10) swept Trinity Christian College (14-8, 6-4) in three sets Thursday night in the Goodman Gymnasium.
In the first set, the match was tied early, 3-3, but with a couple of errors from Trinity and an ace from Arthur Barreto, the Pilots went up 6-3. With a solid lead, the Pilots continued to push till the end of the set. TCC fought at the end; while Bethel had a four-point lead, Trinity found a four-point run to tie the set 22-22. The Pilots got their run of three and closed the set out 25-22 with a kill from Barreto and Mustafa Yildiz each.
The Pilots immediately go on a seven-point run at the start of the second set. With a cushion away from Trinity, the Pilots kept the pressure up as they led as much as 12 during the set (14-2). The Pilots pushed to the end, winning the set 25-15.
Trinity put up an intense fight in the third, much like in the first set. The set was tied 11-11, and with an ace from Erik Malek, BU took the lead and didn't give it back. TCC stayed close as they were only down by two or three for most of the set. As it neared the end of the set (22-20), the Pilots got three points in a row off an error, a solo block from Yildiz, and another ace from Malek to finish the sweep 25-20.

- Egu Gul had five service aces, and Erik Malek had four, with a team total of 12.
- TCC led in digs (19-17).

The Pilots will travel to Knoerle Center to take on Saint Mary-of-the-Woods on March 17th at 7:00 p.m.
