Box Score Angola, Ind. --- The Bethel University Pilots (4-10, 2-8) got swept on the road at Trine University (7-9, 0-0) Wednesday night in Hershey Hall.
The Pilots started slow in the first set but were able to tie the match 7-7 with a kill from Marcos Henrike, Mustafa Yildiz, and a couple of attack errors from Trine. The Thunder found a six-point run and a couple of three-point runs to keep the Pilots down until the end, giving Trine a 25-20 first-set win.
The second set didn't fair well either as the Pilots stayed within two until halfway through the set when Trine found two four-point runs caused by Trine's offense and a couple of Pilot errors, which resulted in a 25-17 victory for Trine.
The third set had both teams tied at 4-4 with a kill from Yildiz, but the Pilots could not grab the lead. The Pilots were within reach until the 10-point mark again, when Trine found more runs to extend the lead by more than five.
Erik Malek led the Pilots in assists with 21, while Marcos Henrike led in kills (10) and digs (9). Arthur Barreto ended the day with four kills, two assists, and eight digs.

The Pilots will be at home in the Goodman Gymnasium on March 3rd to face RV Aquinas, with game time scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
