Mishawaka, Ind. --- The Bethel University Men's Volleyball team (1-3) could not bounce back from Friday's loss to Mount Vernon Nazarene (3-1) and came up short on Saturday 3-0.

The first set was a heartbreaker, with Bethel up 20-16 but couldn't finish the set when MVNU went on a seven-point run, winning the set 25-21.
Another close battle from the Pilots, as they had the lead in the middle of the second set, up 15-13. MVNU continued to finish at the end of another set as they went on a 12-4 run to put them up 2-0.

The third set had Bethel trying to grab the lead as they chased the whole group. They came close with two three-point runs late in the third, making the game a 21-19 lead by MVNU, but the opposing team took the final rallies, making it a 25-20 set.
Arthur Barreto led the Pilots in kills with eight, while
Tuna Konukcu and
Marcos Henrike each had seven of their own. Digs came from Barreto (4),
Ege Gul (3), and
Marcos Henrike (3).

- Bethel let up 10 aces to Mount Vernon Nazarene, and Bethel accrued three, two coming from Erik Malek.
- The Pilots had 12 block assists and two solo blocks from Arthur Barreto and Erik Malek.
