Mishawaka, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots Men's Volleyball team (1-4, 1-4) lost in three sets to the Lourdes Graywolves (4-3, 2-0) in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup in the Goodman Gymnasium Tuesday night.
Arthur Barreto led the way for the Pilots with eight kills on six digs,
Marcos Henrike had seven kills and four digs for the Pilots, while
Meric Akovali had a good passing night with 25 assists.
The Pilots kept up with the Gray wolves on offense, only being outhit 31-28 in kills and led Lourdes in assists 27-26.
The Graywolves had the more efficient hitting with a .224 hitting percentage and accruing four aces on the night versus the Pilots' .077 hitting percentage and one ace.

- The Pilots are now 0-1 against ranked opponents and will face their first top-25 foe, NAIA #14 Aquinas, on Feb. 17 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
- Barreto and Gul both had six digs on the night.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Pilots face their first non-conference test against RV Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) in McHie Arena on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. Olivet Nazarene has a matchup with Trinity Christian before facing the Pilots and hold a record of 6-2 and 1-0 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference as of Feb. 7.
