Mishawaka, Ind. --- The NAIA 6
th ranked Bethel University Men's Soccer team won their 11
th Crossroads League Tournament Championship in the programs history after defeating Spring Arbor 1-0 on Saturday.
The win was the Pilots' 17
th straight and improves their season record to 19-1-1 as they now prepare to host the Opening Round of the NAIA Championship on November 17
th.
This is the second year in a row the Pilots have won the Crossroads League Regular Season Title and the Tournament Championship in the same year.
In the first half, Bethel barely outshot Spring Arbor 5-2, but Bethel would put the pressure on by shooting eight more in the second half.
Senior keeper
Finn Popescu only saw one shot on frame by Spring Arbor's Rood Schnaider but would save it easily.
Senior Eduardo da Silva scored his sixth goal of the season in the 87
th minute on a Penalty Kick to secure the victory for Bethel.
This is head coach
Thiago Pinto's fourth Tournament Championship as the leader of the program.
