WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – Bethel Women's Volleyball ended their weekend road trip by splitting their matches with Carolina University and Colombia International University. The Pilots defeated Carolina 3-2 in the morning match before falling in four sets to CIU later in the day.

MATCH ONE RECAP
SET ONE
- Bethel opened with a 3-0 lead on two Carolina attack errors and a Liberty Pierson kill, before Carolina answered to tie it at three.
- The Pilots built a 20-16 lead behind kills from Taylor Delp and Pierson before Carolina rallied with back-to-back Martina Rivolta service aces to pull within 24-23.
- Bethel closed it out on a Carolina attack error, taking set one 25-23.
SET TWO
- Carolina opened with a Rivolta service ace and a Melia Coleman kill to jump out front, but Bethel battled back to lead 14-10 behind kills from Giuliana Batista and Haley Biedenbach.
- Carolina answered with a run of Rivolta and Valeria Suarez service aces to lead 19-16, and the set stayed tight down the stretch.
- Bethel scored the final three points, capped by a Batista service ace and an Isabelle Schlundt kill, to win the extended set 27-25.
SET THREE
- Carolina built an early cushion behind kills from Madison Kilgore and Corinne Cutter, leading 8-4 and forcing a Bethel timeout.
- The Pilots fought back to tie it at 16 on a Delp kill, but Carolina answered with points from Rileigh Franklin and Suarez to retake control.
- Carolina closed out the set on a Cutter kill, winning 25-21 to cut Bethel's match lead to 2-1.
SET FOUR
- Carolina built an early lead in the set, and Bethel trailed by as many as five points early.
- Delp scored on three straight kills to pull Bethel within one at 10-11, and the set stayed tight into the twenties.
- Carolina closed out the set on a Franklin kill, winning 25-22 to even the match at 2-2 and force a decisive fifth set.
SET FIVE
- Bethel opened with a 5-1 run capped by back-to-back kills from Pierson, forcing an early Carolina timeout.
- The Pilots pushed the lead to 14-7, controlling the set from start to finish.
- Bethel closed out the match on a Delp kill, winning the fifth set 15-8 to take the match 3-2.

SET ONE
- Bethel raced to a 10-5 lead behind four kills from Delp and a Kami Vester service ace, forcing an early CIU timeout.
- Columbia International clawed back to tie it at 13, and the set stayed knotted from there, with neither team pulling away.
- CIU closed it out on a late service ace and a Bethel attack error, taking set one 25-22.
SET TWO
- The Pilots opened on a 7-1 run built on kills from Schlundt and Pierson and a Vester service ace, and the Pilots never trailed again.
- The lead stretched to 20-14 behind three more kills from Delp.
- Bethel closed out the set 25-19 to even the match.
SET THREE
- CIU opened on a 5-0 run, keyed by Maria Ferreira's setting and kills from Ashlee Gomes and Mary Norwood, and Bethel could never shake the early deficit.
- Kills from Ramsey briefly pulled the Pilots within five points midway through the set.
- Columbia Internatinal answered every push and closed it out 25-12 to reclaim the match lead.
SET FOUR
- CIU scored the first four points, but Bethel answered with back-to-back kills from Pierson and Schlundt to get within one before trading points through the middle of the set.
- Ferreira and Katelynn Mundy sparked a stretch that pushed CIU's lead to 18-9, forcing a pair of Bethel timeouts, before Bethel rallied late with kills from Anna Richer, Delp and Addi Byrum and a Delp service ace to pull within 24-20.
- CIU closed out the match on an Ashlee Gomes kill, winning the fourth set 25-20 to take the match 3-1.
