COLUMBIA, Mo. – Bethel Men's and Women's cross country competed at the Gans Creek Classic on Friday at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, with both squads racing in the Black Open events. The men's team placed 21st in the 8K, while senior Anna Enderle led the women's squad with a 61st-place finish in the 6K.

In the men's 8K, Bethel placed 21st with 630 points. Zachary Maendel led the Pilots, finishing 140th overall in 27:37.5. Benjamin Brady followed in 207th at 28:50.2, with Noah Walker finishing 224th in 29:40.3. Devyn Clements crossed in 226th at 29:42.8, while Jaden Gregory rounded out Bethel's scoring five in 228th at 29:50.5.
Benjamin Keller finished 232nd in 30:01.0, followed by Sam Anderson in 239th at 30:34.5, Benaiah Burke in 243rd at 30:46.6 and Caleb Kelley in 251st at 32:43.0. Elijah Poorman recorded a DNF.
Individual Results
Bethel's women's team had three runners compete in the 6K, led by Enderle's 61st-place finish in 23:00.0. The senior's performance placed her just outside the top 60 in a field that featured runners from 23 teams.
Sheridan Maxwell finished 201st in 25:23.5, while
Melody Seager crossed in 248th at 29:52.1. With three finishers, the Pilots did not have enough runners to record a team score.
