MATCH RECAP
Bethel controlled the run of play from the start, out-shooting Holy Cross 7-1 in the first half. The Pilots broke through in the 32nd minute, as Fernando Laserna buried his first goal of the season to make it 1-0. Bethel carried that lead into the half and continued to create chances after the break, with Miguel Gallegos and Luca Canto both testing Holy Cross keeper Sam Negus. The Pilots doubled their lead in the 73rd minute when Noe Ferreira finished off a Jorge Rodriguez assist to make it 2-0. In goal, Rafael Ferreira made one save in his official Bethel debut to preserve the shutout, and the Pilots closed out non-conference play with a commanding 13-2 shot advantage.
